Hey Folks, Peter Fredette’s coming to town and Andrew Johns is leaving town so Big Al is in a BIG panic to try to figure out how to make this all work out in a NOT so perfect world by next Friday and celebrate this virtually “snowless” winter! So you’re all invited to join Big Al in his “virtual” panic on Friday March 6 to one more party before Spring Training begins here in April.
Also joining the fun will be Dennis Marcenko, Scott Gamble and Peter Padden ALL of whom have massive credentials in their respective musical worlds.

ANDREW JOHNS [Piano, Vocals]
… is an exceptional entertainer known for his ability to spread joy and evoke emotion through his music. His performances are characterised by variety and spontaneity. With his unparalleled skill and versatility, he captivates audiences with a wide range of songs.
In the late 80s Andrew recorded and toured with the band Boulevard across Canada- with Glass Tiger and BOSTON which were amazing experiences. Most recently he has been blessed with performing with Alice Cooper at his charity events in Phoenix and had the honour of sharing the stage with Robbie Krieger (the doors) Tommy Thayer (KISS) Alex Lifeson (RUSH) Fee Waybill (the Tubes) Mickey Dolenz (the Monkees) and many more…
With over four decades of experience, Andrew has earned a reputation for excellence both on and off the stage. He is known for his professionalism and dedication to exceeding expectations, earning the trust of past clients who continue to seek out his services.

Peter Padden (percussion, vocals)
Working as a studio vocalist, Peter has sung jingles for most of the major brewing and automotive companies in Canada.
As the lead singer for The Wild Root Orchestra, Peter garnered airplay throughout Western Canada (Town Without Pity, Little One) and has had numerous top 40 radio hits as the drummer and singer with Straight Lines and Six Cylinder.
DENNIS MARCENKO (Bass/Vocals)
Growing up in the South Saskatchewan area, he learned to play guitar at the age of 4. By age 12 he was playing in his father’s dance band and learned the importance of the “groove” to keep people on the dance floor. At the age of 18 he left home and hit the road with club bands that played from Ontario to Vancouver Island. In the early 70’s he settled in Calgary and started getting recording sessions with Calgary’s finest musicians.
Dennis joined KD Lang’s band in 1985 and recorded her first album on Warner Bros, ‘Angel with a Lariat’. Appearances on television shows like ‘The Tonight Show ‘with Johnny Carson, The Juno Awards and Much Music Specials were a very exciting jump compared to the years of club dates.
In 1989 Dennis joined the Colin James band and immediately went to Miami for 8 weeks and started recording Colin’s self-titled first album ‘Colin James’. The band started opening for acts like ZZ Top, Robert Plant, Little Feat, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Keith Richards’ X-Pensive Winos.
PETER FREDETTE [Vocals/Bass]
Vocalist and bassist extraordinaire, Peter has played with some of the greatest artists in the world including Colin James, Tom Cochrane, Pat Travers, Charlie Major, Loverboy, Max Webster and Lawrence Gowan. He has recorded with Randall Prescott, Coney Hatch, Platinum Blonde, Ian Thomas and many more.
Peter has been an integral part of the fabulous Kim Mitchell Band for the past thirty-something years and has been featured on every Kim Mitchell record since his first solo EP in 1982. Peter is world-renowned for his live vocal performances on tunes like Kim’s All We Are.

SCOTTY GAMBLE [Drums/Percussion]
Scott Gamble is a first-call drummer/percussionist currently living in Summerland, BC. Comfortable in any style, he has performed on many stages with amazing individuals and bands of all genres and origins – from reggae to metal, folk to big band, to musical theatre – both in the pit, and acting on stage. A sought-after studio musician as well, Scott has performed on more than 85 recording projects, including two of his own material.
